Foursquare, one of my favourite location based mobile social networks has changed its rules for the game of ‘who wants to be a Mayor’. Foursquare is growing in popularity in a number of cities and rules for game play have been tightened.
Recently it changed the rules to the most checkins in the past 60 days .. and now it has changed to only 1 checkin is valid each day.
The other change is you can now checkin and see a message telling you the number of days you have to checkin to become the Mayor. Kind of good … but not useful for those regulars who already hold done a Mayorship and checkin every day.
